PRESIDENT
John and Melinda Jackson along with their children, Joycelyn and Joshua, moved into The Woodlands in 2008. John says that he believes God led them to the property because of the school district and the actual beauty of the community.
John retired from the Department of Corrections with the City of Atlanta after 32 years of service in 2014. He currently operates his own business, Jackson Mobile Detail, that was established in 2013. John is a member of Fayette Family Church and serves on the First Impression Team.
John decided to offer his services as a Board member because he believes it is important for all of us to do our part to ensure our community presents as an attractive and sustainable place to live in Fayette County.

VICE PRESIDENT
Brigadier General Scott “Rock” Donahue and his wife, Nancy, moved into The Woodlands in 2017. They are the parents of four children and have 10 grandchildren. Rock says that he and Nancy truly love the community and family feel of the neighborhood.
General Donahue retired from the United States Army in 2013 after 30 years of active federal commissioned service. From October 2014-2022, he served as Executive Director of Georgia Military College’s new Fayetteville campus. Since March 2022, General Donahue has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Infrastructure & Sustainability Officer for Georgia Military College.
Rock currently serves as Chairman of the Harp’s Crossing Christian Academy Board of Trustees, is a member of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and serves as a member of the Fayette Accountability Court Board of Advisors under Judge Thompson.

Dr. Ryan Shropshire was born and raised in Atlanta, GA, and moved to the Woodlands with his wife, Sonya, in 2010. Ryan (or “Shrop” as he prefers to be called) is presently the lead counselor at Griffin High School. He has been in education for over 31 years and will definitely be retiring this year.
Shrop lives at 195 Mountain Laurel Way. He serves as the community DJ, and his other hobbies include writing, producing music, drawing, roller skating, fitness, talking with people, and swimming.
